Pass either side
A blue circle with two arrows pointing up-left and up-right means you may pass on either side of the obstruction ahead - both sides are open to you.

What it means
It's used where the road divides around an island, a bollard, or a keep-left/keep-right feature and either side is a legal route - for example approaching some islands or split lanes. Choose the side that suits your onward route, signal if it helps others, and keep left where you can if there's no reason to go right.

Large central islands, road splits, and the approach to some junctions and gyratories.

No trick here: pick a side in good time, position smoothly, and don't dither between the two at the last moment.
