DVSA points to an average of around 45 hours of professional lessons plus about 22 hours of private practice - roughly 67 hours - before most people are ready for their test.
But there's no set minimum. How many you'll need depends on how quickly things click, how much private practice you get, and where you're starting from. We design your course around you and adjust as we go, so you're never paying for lessons you don't need.
As a rough guide, most of our learners are ready for their first test after around 40-80 hours with us.

From our experience, manual usually takes a little longer to learn than automatic - clutch control and gears are extra skills to build - so budget for a few more hours than you would in an automatic.
