End of bus lane

An information sign

End of bus lane

A blue sign reading 'End of bus lane' marks the point where the bus-lane restriction stops and the lane is open to all traffic again.

01

What it means

It simply tells you the bus lane has finished, so you may move into that lane normally from here. Until you pass it (during the lane's hours) the lane is for buses and other permitted vehicles only.

It's the bus-lane equivalent of a 'zone ends' sign - a clear all-clear.

02

Where you'll see it

At the end of a with-flow bus lane, on the same road the bus lane runs along.

03

On your driving test

Nothing tricky - just don't move into the bus lane before this point during its hours. Once past it, use the lane like any other with proper mirror and signal work.

Quick answers

Can I use the lane after the 'end of bus lane' sign?

Yes - past this sign the bus-lane restriction has ended and the lane is open to all traffic. Move in with the usual mirror-signal-manoeuvre.
