Bend to the right

A warning sign

Bend to the right

A red triangle showing a road bending right warns of a sharp bend to the right ahead.

01

What it means

The road bends right ahead, more sharply than you might expect. Slow down before the bend, not on it, and be ready for oncoming traffic drifting wide.

02

Where you'll see it

Rural roads and anywhere a bend is sharp enough to need warning. A mirror-image 'bend to the left' version exists.

03

On your driving test

Get your speed down before the bend and hold a steady line through it. Braking hard mid-bend is a control fault.
