Bus lane at junction ahead
This sign warns that a bus lane runs on the approach to the junction ahead, so you know to get into the correct general-traffic lane in good time.

What it means
Short bus lanes are common on the run-up to junctions, giving buses priority to the front of the queue. The sign shows a bus and an arrow marking the affected lane: don't drift into the bus lane, and position for your junction using the lane you're allowed to use, early rather than at the last second.
It's a heads-up sign on the approach; the bus-lane markings themselves follow at the junction.

Fines and penalties
If the bus lane is in force and you drive along it to jump the queue, that's a bus-lane contravention - in London typically £160, halved if paid early. No licence points.
