Pedestrian crossings
What it means
Approaching and dealing with pedestrian crossings correctly - slowing in good time, giving way where you must, and never blocking or overtaking on the approach.
What a fault looks like
Stopping late or creeping over the line is a driving fault; failing to give way to someone on a zebra, or blocking the crossing, is serious or dangerous.
What learners get wrong
Not spotting a waiting pedestrian early, or overtaking as you approach a crossing.
What we recommend
Look for people waiting well before the crossing, be ready to stop, and at a zebra give way once someone is waiting. Never overtake near a crossing.
